Steak tacos with homemade guacamole

🌮 Steak Tacos with Homemade Guacamole

🔥 Ingredients

For the Steak:

  • 1–1½ lbs flank steak

  • Your favorite marinade (enough to coat the steak)

  • Juicy Jake’s Original seasoning

  • Corn or flour tortillas (for serving)

    🥑 For the Guacamole:

    • 3 ripe avocados

    • 3 Roma tomatoes, diced(Remove the seeds from the tomatoes to make the guacamole less watery)

    • 2 cloves garlic, minced

    • 1 jalapeño, finely chopped (remove seeds for less heat)

    • ½ yellow onion, finely chopped

    • 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro (or to taste)

    • Juice of 1 whole lime

    • Salt, to taste

    • Juicy Jake’s Extra Juicy seasoning, to taste

  •  

Optional Taco Toppings:

  • Crema or sour cream

  • Crumbled queso fresco or shredded cheese

  • Extra chopped cilantro

  • Lime wedges


🥩 Instructions

Marinate and Cook the Steak:

  1. Marinate the flank steak in your favorite marinade overnight for the best flavor.

  2. Before cooking, pat the steak dry with paper towels.

  3. Season generously with Juicy Jake’s Original seasoning.

  4. Grill over high heat until cooked to your preferred doneness (medium-rare recommended).

  5. Let the steak rest for 5–10 minutes, then slice thinly and against the grain to keep it tender.


🥑 Make the Guacamole:

  1. In a bowl, mash the avocados to your desired texture.

  2. Mix in the tomatoes, garlic, jalapeño, onion, and cilantro.

  3. Season with salt and Juicy Jake’s Extra Juicy seasoning to taste.

  4. Adjust flavors as needed — more lime or cilantro if desired.


🌮 Assemble the Tacos:

  1. Warm your tortillas on a skillet or grill.

  2. Add a generous portion of sliced steak.

  3. Top with a spoonful of homemade guacamole.

  4. Finish with your favorite toppings: crema, cheese, more cilantro, or a squeeze of lime.
